“…just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life,” (Romans 6:4b). The Bible is full of stories of redemption, change, and hope. No matter how big or how small we feel, God outstretches God’s hand, ready to raise us up.

It is interesting to think about the countless ways in which we make mistakes and feel like we let God down. We feel like we are unworthy of God’s love and redemption because of these mistakes. We are reminded that God never leaves us. So even when we mess up, we have the wonderful gift from God through redemption, change, and hope. Redemption, because God’s love is a gift for all at all times and in all places. Change, because when we mess up, God provides space for us to change and grow in relationship with God. Hope, when we feel like we are down and out, when we feel alone, God provides the hope that lifts us up from our darkest places. God does this because God loves us. God so loved the world, that he gave God’s only Son, that whosoever believes in him, will not perish but will have everlasting life. John 3:16
