In loving memory of our brother | Dear friends,
It is with a tender and heavy heart that I share that our beloved Al Herbert passed into the presence of the Lord this morning, February 25, just a few minutes before I arrived to visit him. Al’s faithfulness to our dear Groveville congregation and his powerful voice lifted in song with the choir on Sunday mornings will never be forgotten.
His love for God and for this church was evident every time he sang, and that gift will continue to echo in our hearts. We are holding his family in our prayers during this time of deep sorrow, asking God to surround them with comfort and peace.
Details regarding his funeral services will be shared with the congregation as soon as they are available.
