Backpacks, Blessing Bags, and Big Thanks

Backpacks, Blessing Bags, and Big Thanks

I’m happy to share that Groveville UMS has already packed our Blessing Bags! Thank you to everyone who helped, donated, or prayed. That’s what church is all about. When we come together and each do our part, good things happen.

Now we’re turning our attention to our Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive for the 2025–2026 school year. It started this Sunday, July 13, and runs through Sunday, August 3. Once again, we’re collecting school supplies and backpacks to support students in Hamilton Township.

If you’d like to help, here are a few ways:

  • You can bring school supplies with you on Sunday mornings or during the week.
  • If you’d prefer to give online, go to grovevilleumc.org, click “Give,” and choose “school supplies.”
  • If you need someone to pick up your donation, call the church office at 609-585-0404 and leave a message. Someone from our team will call you back.

You can also email us at grovevilleumc@gmail.com if that’s easier for you.

Here’s what we’re collecting:

Reusable water bottles, Wired headphones (not Bluetooth), Crayons and colored pencils, Dry erasers and black dry erase pens, Pencils (not mechanical), Black or blue pens, Glue sticks and erasers (both pencil-top and regular), Composition books and sturdy poly folders, 1-subject notebooks and pencil cases, Play dough, Hand sanitizer…

Every item you give is a blessing for a child. Let’s keep working together and sharing what we have so students in our community feel supported and loved as they return to school.

Warmly,

Rev. David A Gaitan
