Heart Seeds #3 August In the Garden

Heart Seeds #3 August In the Garden

A cherished old hymn rang out in song yesterday morning in our precious country church in Groveville. Hearts were stirred and memories kindled as we raised our voices.

“And He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own. And the JOY we share as we tarry there none other has ever known.“

Ah yes. He came that we might have JOY. For the JOY set before Him, He endured the cross… for us, that we might know Him.

The melody was still in my heart, waking me as I opened my eyes to greet the day.

“In the Garden”

After a hurried morning, or a long day, it’s refreshing to take a walk in the garden, to be led beside still waters and perhaps even lie down in green pastures. Our souls are restored and renewed. A cool, healing balm of peace begins to settle into the cuts and bruises of the day. The nooks and crannies of our mind become softened and smoothed.

As we slow our pace, we sense we are no longer alone. In fact, we begin to understand we’ve never been alone. He’s been there with us through everything. We look up to see a table just ahead in the clearing. The one that’s been set just for us. We can sit and share our day together with Him, our laughter, our pain. No detail is too small to be left out, and none are too big or too difficult to be handled. Gently and lovingly, He listens as we empty our heart, trusting everything to His care, relinquishing even our understanding of the future outcome.

We are reassured.

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” Jeremiah‬ ‭32‬:‭27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

How we are enjoying this time together! We’d love to stay longer, to walk and talk, (or sit and eat) yet we know there’s a world beyond our garden. It’s hurting and broken. Others need to know about the garden, His garden.

They need to know…

The Gardener

The Creator of the universe. The One who calls them by name. We want them to know Him too.

Refreshed, as we stand to go, we smile. Jesus is coming with us! He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and He has placed the Highways to Zion in our heart.

Let’s be the roadmap and shine the way to Jesus for all to see.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.“

Proverbs 3:5

“Blessed and greatly favored is the man who strength is in You, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.“

Psalms 84:5 AMP

The seasons are changing, yet our God remains steadfast. His truth endures to all generations. Enjoy the beauty of these long last summer days of the year. Take a walk in the garden. Walk and talk and yes, even sing or hum a tune with the King of Kings. As soon as you start, He’ll jump right in and never miss a beat. 🎵

With Joy In the Garden,

Georgie
