What a wonderful afternoon! Today, August 13th, we had the joy of participating in the Pop-Up Schoolhouse at Kuser School, bringing the results of Groveville UMC’s Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive directly to children and families in our community.
On a beautiful summer afternoon filled with children, families, teachers, and many smiles, we distributed around 250 school-supply bags: 200 prepared for students in grades 1–5 and 50 for kindergarteners. We also brought more than 100 backpacks, 100 containers of Play-Doh, 120 headsets, and 72 water bottles for Kuser students and teachers.
Together, these gifts allowed us to reach hundreds of children and families in our community as they prepare for a new school year.
And none of this would have been possible without you! Thank you to everyone who donated, collected, organized, packed, transported, and gave their time and energy to make this possible! Every pencil, notebook, backpack, and school supply became a small expression of love for a child in our community.
At the end of the day, perhaps our greatest reward could not be counted in bags or backpacks, but in smiles. And there were many!
